Update – Nissan Magnite Lowest Cost of Maintenance Promise and Price Increase

Nissan India announces its best ever, lowest-in-class maintenance cost for the all-new Nissan Magnite at just 29 paise/km.

Peace of mind comes with a warranty of 2 years (50,000 kms) which can be extended for up to 5 years (100,000 kms) at a nominal cost. Nissan also offers its customers, on the Nissan Magnite, various labour-free services available on all service networks in India.

Nissan India has introduced a prepaid maintenance plan known as “Nissan Magnite Care” that allows customers to further save up to 22%*. The plan is applicable for two to five years and is available at all Nissan service networks in the country, with options to choose between the ‘GOLD’ and ‘SILVER’ packages. Gold package covers comprehensive periodic maintenance service and silver package covers basic maintenance service. The maintenance plan is also transferable with ownership change, thus strengthening the residual value for the Magnite.

The all-new Nissan Magnite continues to attract the attention of the customers at 15,000+ bookings and 1,50,000 enquiries in the last 15 days since launch. It has been launched at a special introductory price of INR 4,99,000 (ex-showroom) valid until December 31, 2020. Nissan India today announced a price hike of up to 5% across its models. The revised prices will be applicable across all available models for Nissan and Datsun, effective January 2021.

Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd, said, “With the launch of the all new Nissan Magnite, Nissan has reiterated its commitment  to offer innovative and exciting products under the Nissan brand. Nissan aims to offer the best value proposition to its customers in India. In the current challenging market conditions, we are constrained to increase the price of all Nissan and Datsun models due to increased costs. The proposed price increase will be effective from January 2021.”

We reviewed Nissan Magnite back in November. Nissan Magnite is powered by a 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 72PS power and 96Nm of Torque mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. The second engine option is the turbocharged variant of the same 1-liter engine with 100PS power and 160Nm of Torque mated to a 5 speed manual and a 7 step CVT transmission.

The sub 4 meter crossover measures 3,994mm in length1,758mm in width and 1,572mm in height. The new sub-4m compact SUV has a 2,500mm long wheelbase. It has a ground clearance of 205mm.
