BMW India has opened pre-launch bookings for the much awaited first-ever BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé from 6 October 2020 onwards. As an early-bird benefit, the car can be exclusively booked online at for INR 50,000 only.

Additionally, for bookings before the official launch on 15 October 2020, complimentary Taj Experiences Gift Card worth INR 50,000 is being offered. The gift card can be redeemed for multiple transactions on stay, holiday packages, dining, spa and other experiences across some of the most luxurious properties in India. Customers can choose from Taj, SeleQtions and Vivanta Hotels and Ama Stays & Trails.

BMW takes the design aesthetics presented by coupé through years of experience to another level of interpretation, injecting driving pleasure, and handling performance into the car’s DNA. And that’s how BMW’s unique Gran Coupé was born. The first-ever BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé, gets dynamically stretched silhouette and high-quality details such as frameless doors similar to what is offered in M8 Gran Coupe. The four-door coupe will also be BMW’s new entry-level offering for the Indian market and the second model from the 2 Series family, after the BMW M2 Competition.

BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé Technical Details

It measures 4526 mm in length, 1800 mm in width and 1420 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2670 mm and a generous 430 litre boot. he M2 GC will be a front-wheel drive, powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol churning out 189 bhp and 280 Nm and a 2.0-litre turbo diesel churning out187 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque, both the units will be mated to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission.

Price and Competition

BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé is expected to be priced around INR 33 Lakh and will presently compete with Audi A3 and the upcoming Mecrcedes A-Class Limo which is scheduled to launch later this year.
