Bentley Torcal EV: Global Details and the Questions for Canada

Bentley’s Torcal is now a fully electric SUV with published global product information, rather than just a name in a teaser. For Canadian readers, the important distinction is between the vehicle Bentley has described and the price, equipment and delivery details still needed to assess a Canadian purchase.

Two versions, with manufacturer-stated performance

Bentley’s official range page identifies the Torcal and the more performance-focused Torcal S. For the S, it quotes up to 876 bhp and 1,350 Nm with launch control active. Those are manufacturer figures, not a Speedhounds road-test result.

The standard Torcal page lists a dual-motor powertrain producing 604 kW and 1,155 Nm, a 113.2-kWh battery capacity and a claimed 3.4-second 0–100 km/h time. Bentley also describes all-wheel drive, four-wheel steering and an active suspension system.

These are global product claims. They should not be read as a final Canadian specification sheet, a Canadian range rating or proof that the same options will be available here.

Features need market-by-market qualification

Bentley’s technology descriptions include connected services and driver-assistance features. Its range page qualifies Plug and Charge and remote parking by market, while the optional Touring Assist description ties hands-free operation to countries where regulations permit it.

A Canadian buyer therefore needs confirmation of which functions are supplied and enabled locally. A feature on a global website is not sufficient evidence that it will work on a Canadian-delivered vehicle.

What is still unknown for Canada

The official pages linked here do not establish a Canadian MSRP or delivery window. This report consequently assigns neither a Canadian price nor a Canadian model year. It also does not convert a foreign launch price into an expected Canadian sticker price.

Before comparing a Torcal with an available luxury SUV, ask a Canadian retailer for the exact trim, final equipment list, written delivery estimate, full purchase price and local battery-warranty terms. Range and charging comparisons should use matching test standards and clearly stated conditions.
